The Office of Communications is a professional, strategic communications office for Vassar College, developing and bringing forward to audiences outside and inside the campus community the college’s most important messages and stories.
The staff includes writers and editors, publications and website developers and designers, and media relations professionals, all of whom work as a team and as partners with other members of the college community.
The office is responsible for producing publications for the campus, alumnae/i, prospective students, and a broader public. It develops and is responsible for official websites. The office oversees local, regional, and national media placements of Vassar news. Communications also works to maintain consistency in Vassar’s graphic identity and provides guidelines for a consistent editorial style.
The staff offers a variety of professional services to promote important campus events, including lectures, exhibitions, and concerts. See our guide, Getting Publicity for Your Upcoming Event.
