About the CMS
The system we use is Cascade Server, a content management system (CMS) that is accessed from the web so you don’t need any special software to update your website(s). We use this CMS for all websites designed and maintained for the college by Communications. Each office, department, and program, plus a number of college feature sites are in the CMS. Typically, each site has two people with access to update it. The system is set up so the content of each page is separate from the design. That way you can jump right in to update the information without worrying about accidentally jeopardizing the design.
We’ve tried to include features to save you time — when possible we feed content in from college publications (policies, course information, etc.) and when those central sources are updated your site automatically shows the latest content. We still leave part of the page editable so you can add notices and information as needed.
We are always your backup
If there’s something that you need help with, or if you’re unable to update the site, please send a request to firstname.lastname@example.org. We are always happy to help.
